PARAMORE 2.0; The Future Is NOW! Self-Titled 4th Album Due April 9, 2013

The return of PARAMORE is no longer nigh...it is NOW!

Yesterday, the slimmer, trimmer, fitter version of Paramore featuring singer Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York released NOW, the first single from their self-titled 4th album.

Part rabble-rouser, part high-octane, part expansive soundscape, NOW has a dueling melody and chorus that sticks, stacks, and struts its stuff like a fast-spinning Nunchuk.

Don't try to take this from me...

or I will karate chop you... HI-YA!

PARAMORE
NOW

Don't try to take this from me
Don't try to take this from me
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

Don't try to take this from me
Don't try to take this from me
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

Feels like I'm waking from the dead
And everyone's been waitin' on me
'Least now I'll never have to wonder
What it's like to sleep a year away
But were we indestructible
I thought that we could brave it all (all)
I never thought that what would take me out
Was hiding down below

Lost the battle, win the war
I'm bringing my sinking ship back to the shore
We're starting over, or head back in
There's a time and a place to die but this ain't it

If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

Don't try to take this from me
Don't try to take this from me
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

Don't try to take this from me
Don't try to take this from me
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

Wish I could find a crystal ball
For the days I feel completely worthless
You know I'd use it all for good
I would not take it for granted (granted)
Instead, I'd have some memories
For the days I don't feel anything
At least, they would remind me
Not to make the same mistakes again

Lost the battle, win the war
I'm bringing my sinking ship back to the shore
We're starting over or head back in
There's a time and a place to die but this ain't it

If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

There's a time and a place to die

There's a time and a place to die
And this ain't it

There's a time and a place to die
And this ain't it, this ain't it
This ain't it

There's a time and a place to die
There's a time and a place to die
But this ain't it, no

If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
If there's a future, we want it now
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

If there's a future, we want it
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
Now-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow

Fleetwood Mac Rumours Deluxe Edition Due Jan 29 + World Tour (4/4 - 10/25/13)

Fleetwood Mac, one of rock’s most enduring, beloved and successful bands, will circulate a fresh round of Rumours this year with expanded and deluxe versions of the album in celebration of its 35th anniversary.

Rumours made the band one of the most iconic bands of the 1970s and garnered wide critical praise, earned the Grammy® for Album of the Year, and has now sold more than 40 million copies worldwide since its 1977 debut.

In celebration of the release, the current lineup of the band, Mick  Fleetwood and John McVie, both original members since 1967, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who joined the band in 1975, will kick off and their first U.S. tour since 2009 in April.

The 48-date jaunt features stops in Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Chicago and a special appearance at the historic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale at LiveNation.com

The expanded edition’s three CDs includes the original album and the b-side “Silver Springs,” a dozen unreleased live recordings from the  group’s ’77 world tour, and an entire disc filled with unreleased takes from the album’s recording sessions.

The deluxe edition includes all of  the music from expanded version, plus an additional disc of outtakes a DVD that features “The Rosebud Film,” a 1977 documentary about the  album, and the album on vinyl. RUMOURS will be available January 29 from Rhino as the expanded edition ($24.98) and the deluxe edition ($99.98). Digital versions will also be available.

Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks recorded Rumours against a backdrop personal turmoil, chronicling their raw emotions in  songs like “Go Your Own Way,” “Gold Dust Woman” and “Dreams,” the latter becoming the band’s first number one smash.

The disc of 12 unreleased live recordings from the band’s 1977 Rumours tour features performances from concerts in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Nashville and Columbia, S.C. The songs include album tracks like “The Chain,” “Oh  Daddy” and “Songbird” as well as “World Turning” and “Rhiannon,” two  tracks from the group’s 1975 eponymous release.

Producers also have compiled a selection of 16 unreleased recordings from the album’s sessions including early takes of “Go Your Own Way,” “I Don’t Want To Know” and the popular b-side “Silver Springs.” There are also several demo recordings, including one for the outtake “Planets of the Universe,” plus an instrumental version  of “Never Going Back Again.”

The deluxe edition of Rumours features three additional pieces. First is an 18-track compilation of session outtakes originally released in the 2004  reissue of the album. Next is the original album on 140-gram vinyl.

Finally, there is a DVD with “The Rosebud Film.” This 1977 documentary  by Michael Collins includes interviews, rehearsal footage and live  performances of: “World Turning,” “Rhiannon,” “Say You Love Me,” “Go  Your Own Way,” “You Make Loving Fun” and “I’m So Afraid.”

CRYSTAL CASTLES Made Of GLASS; Pervasive Plague of Subversive Shade

Lest us not be vague...

The PLAGUE is all the rage

Like rats in a cage, we shall not evade the pervasive cascade crystalized by dark dub denizens Alice Glass and Ethan Kath as they modulate acetate.

(III) is the new (II)

You do the math.

Get affected. Tantamount perfected.

Rolling Stone Magazine named Crystal Castles the #1 Icons of 20 Years of Lollapalooza.

Sympathy for the Special.

Robert Smith of The Cure is Not In Love with Glass and Kath.

Nyet... he's not that innocent.

Skrill the Thrill tweeted "I'm on heroin listening to @CrystalCastles"

Sonny meant Heroine... One green with entropy.

When getting elevated is predicated on reality medicated, thy infinite self is suffocated.

Glass is always full.

Drink unbated.

Divine your self in Wonderland and wander with Alice.

HEAVY AND LIGHT: To Write Love On Her Arms Tour (Jan 28 - Feb 18, 2013)

Non-profit organization To Write Love on Her Arms is taking their flagship annual event, HEAVY AND LIGHT, to cities across America.

HEAVY AND LIGHT is a unique evening of songs, conversation, and hope.

Throughout the tour, there will be intimate acoustic performances by the likes of Jon Foreman (of Switchfoot) & Fiction Family, Christina Perri, Now, Now, Will Anderson (of Parachute), Aaron Gillespie (of The Almost), Bryce Avary (of The Rocket Summer), Anthony Raneri (of Bayside), Noah Gundersen, The Lone Bellow, Satellite and award-winning spoken word poet Anis Mojgani.

Jon Foreman, both solo and with Fiction Family, as well as Now, Now will be performing on the entire HEAVY AND LIGHT tour, with additional artists playing select cities.

HEAVY AND LIGHT is not a benefit show, but an attempt to move and encourage people through great music and powerful words, to stay alive and to get the help they need. Everyone who attends a HEAVY AND LIGHT show will also leave with a list of local resources-places where they can get help for issues such as depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.

TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski says, "HEAVY AND LIGHT has been our favorite night of the year. Up to now, it's been just one night each January at the House of Blues in Orlando. We've seen people travel from across America and beyond to be there, and we've heard people call it the best night of their life. We're beyond thrilled to bring HEAVY AND LIGHT to cities across the country, and we're doing it with the hope and goal of changing lives."

The day after the tour's opening night (January 28), Fiction Family will release their new album Fiction Family Reunion in their hometown of San Diego.

Jon Foreman states, "The HEAVY AND LIGHT experience has always been an amazing night of music. To bring it to the rest of the country is going to be incredible. I really believe in what TWLOHA does and have supported them since the beginning. I'm honored to join them in the HEAVY AND LIGHT tour across the country."

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Since its start in 2006, TWLOHA has donated over $1,000,000 directly into treatment and recovery and responded to more than 170,000 messages and emails from more than 100 countries.

Last year, TWLOHA was awarded a $1 million grant at the first American Giving Awards presented by Chase Bank on NBC. They will be using this generous award to fund the nationwide HEAVY AND LIGHT tour.
