MORE is now less but, more or less, the PARAllelless same...
WE are PAR-A-MORE
Officially moving forward as a trio, PARAMORE unveiled a video earlier this week for a newly-penned post-Farro brothers song called MONSTER which appears on the soundtrack to Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Other artists on T:DOTM include Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Staind, Mastodon, Art of Dying, Theory of a Deadman, Stone Sour, Skillet, Serj Tankian & Black Veil Brides.
PARAMORE
MONSTER
You were my conscience, so solid, now you're like water
And we started drowning, not like we'd sink any farther
But I let my heart go, it's somewhere down at the bottom
But I'll get a new one and come back for the hope that you've stolen
I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world
From turning into a monster and eating us alive
Don't you ever wonder how we survive?
Well now that you're gone, the world is ours
I'm only human, I've got a skeleton in me
but I'm not the villain, despite what you're always preaching.
Call me a traitor, I'm just collecting your victims
And they're getting stronger
I hear them calling.
I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world
From turning into a monster, and eating us alive
Don't you ever wonder how we survive?
Well now that you're gone, the world is ours
Well you find your strength in solutions
But I liked the tension
And not always knowing the answers
But you're gonna lose it, you're gonna lose it
I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world
From turning into a monster, and eating us alive
Don't you ever wonder how we survive?
Well now that you're gone, the world...
I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world
From turning into a monster, eating us alive
Don't you ever wonder how we survive?
Now that you're gone, the world is ours.
In other news, Paramore, led by singer Hayley Williams, just wrapped up a half dozen shows on this year's Vans Warped Tour (with one more to go in San Diego). The seven appearances mark the first U.S. concerts since the departure of founding band members, drummer Zac Farro and guitarist Josh Farro.
The band, which made their Warped debut in 2005, played a rousing 40-minute set at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls as a formidable six-piece (with count 'em, three guitar players...and four if you count the fan that came up on stage to play during "Misery Business").
Each of their three releases were represented (Twilight's "Decode" was replaced with Transformers' "Monster") with a grand finale explosion of red and orange confetti capping the early evening proceedings.
Smiles abound all around at the end of a Paramore show...
It was business as usual.
