Danse Macabre Of Mechanical Hearts On A NEW YEARS DAY

I got this feeling in my chest...

...the world is in dire need of a rock and roll transfusion

this day shall come to pass and it shall be known as...

No matter one's station in life, the Dance of Death unites all.

The Danse Macabre consists of the Dead or personified Death summoning lost souls from all walks of life to dance along to the grave.

Let's Get Dead and start over again

Oh my darling what have we done...

it's alive...

Ironic that a few weeks ago, I paid tribute to the 20th Anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne's Diary of A Madman, whose title track, in particular, stands tall as a seminal milestone in the hallows of rock. With its mix of taut sinister orchestrations and theatrical visceral ruminations delivered with unbridled desire by an artist in the energy of the moment, it's a snapshot of an explosion of emotion.

In much the same vein, The Mechanical Heart bleeds sublime.

Out of our minds with madness in our eyes...

From the EP's foreboding inception to its eerie conclusion, its heart is dramatic, theatric and bloody fantastic! Perhaps, its unofficial subtext should be the diary of a mechanical madman for it definitely seems like the first chapter of an enigmatic horror story worth reaping.

Similar to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, this anthology of sonnets envelops a sonic cycle that rewards repeated listens without interruption.

If one pays close attention to the cacophony of embedded sounds, you can hear the various states of formation of the Frankenstein type "Machine" as it comes to life with the fortuitous energy provided by its mechanical heart. The conclusion of "It's Alive" then serves as a seamless salutation to the formation of another "I, Machine," its "Resurrection" and so on and so forth as a new world order is born.

So what type of Frankenstein would be powered by a mechanical heart?

Imagine if Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson had a child who became the patron Parmour of a nation of lost White Zombies whom could only be spiritually cleansed by a ritual of getting pierced with molten Nine Inch Nails (2 in the Chest, 1 in the Head) at midnight of a new years day, one not yet recognized by the lunisolar calendar, but one that commemorates the dawn of a new day in an otherworldly dimension marked by an immaculate conception of perpetual rejuvenation.

This universally recognized New Years Day would be consecrated by a worldwide danse macabre in honor of the majesty of its supreme glory.
