Last night, LISSIE, a modern-day hippified trobairitz, enthralled a ravenous sold-out crowd at the Troubadour in LA; in what was her first semi-hometown show (she moved from LA to Ojai, CA) since releasing her critically-acclaimed full-length debut CATCHING A TIGER over the summer. Flanked by the tasty Jimmy Page/Lindsey Buckingham inspired guitarwork of Eric Sullivan and the booming ambi-appendaged thump of Lewis Keller on both bass AND drums, her 75-minute set featured all of the songs from her magnificent WHY YOU RUNNIN' Ep as well as a healthy dose of TIGER tunes laced with an impromptu acapella of "You Are My Sunshine" (during a temporary sound problem) and a tequila-shot inducing, roof-raisin' take on KID CUDI's "Pursuit of Happiness".
